Have you always wanted to learn how to sew but didn’t know where to start?
Are you Interested in learning to sew, stitch and make dresses from scratch?
Dada welcomes all, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced levels, to join her dressmaking classes and learn how to make fashionable clothing from scratch and alter clothing to their taste and fit.
With over 40 years experience in dressmaking and stitching, Dada has all the tricks of the trade to teach you how to make your own dresses, skirts and pants, blouses, jackets, coats and more. If you thought it was too complicated to learn, or that you’re too old, think again – you just need Dada!
The fine art of stitching is a practice best taught by a true master, and Dada has been making bespoke clothing for her whole life – she is a qualified dressmaker, designer and manufacturer and is passionate about teaching the next generation the correct techniques and secrets of the trade.
Dada’s studio is open to anyone who wants to dive into the world of creativity and sewing -

You will work with styles and patterns of your choice
You will learn to construct a garment from start to finish
You will know how to fit and adjust patterns to size
And learn just how easy it is to make clothes for your family
And best of all, Dada keeps her class sizes small, so you'll get lots of individual attention.
Classes take place every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6pm at Dada's Step, 22 City View Crescent, Mooroobool. You can choose your preferred day upon booking - maximum six in a class.
Classes cost $295 per term and each term lasts six weeks.
Payment is required at the beginning of your first class for the entire term.
Each term follows on from the last, with payment of consecutive terms payable at the last class of the current term.
Each class is 2 hours long.
Students who don't inform us of their absence will not be entitled to a 'make-up' class, so please make sure to let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you can't make it.
Bring your own sewing machine – your sewing machine is individual to you, so its best you learn on your own machine and get used to it!
Bring your own tape measure, fabric, pattern and dressmaking scissors – Dada can advise on where to source these if you don’t know where to look.
